IGNITE
Every yearbook staff is unique, each with its own array of personalities
and dynamics; but last year’s staff stood out from the rest. Although most staffs
are small, last year we were 18 strong. Due to the sheer size alone, my staff
had to find a different way of working. It was a challenge meeting all of our
deadlines and having to share computers, but we always came through. Getting
two students with radically different personalities to work together is always a
challenge, but even more so with an extra large staff. Although we had our ups
and downs throughout the year, and our fair share of difficulties, we had one
goal to keep us together: to produce a book.
I knew since before I became the editor that this year would be an
interesting one. Although we had a theme in mind that we really wanted to
develop, our school leadership asked us to work with the word Ignite. It was
difficult at first to think of ways to adapt this word to a theme, but in the end,
I think we did a pretty good job. The more we worked on the book, the more I
realized that this theme was very relevant to all of us in this community. I would
like to thank the editorial board and staff, the faculty an administration, and all
those who support what we do. Now, go out and ignite your own passions!
