Read, Analyze, Write By: Jose Toledo
As students rose up in grade levels, the difficulty of each course increased.
In English classes, reading, analyzing, and writing was a main focus. These three skills
were not only important in English, but in all other courses, and of course, in the real
world.
Students in all grade levels were taught to read critically, analyze the
work, and then write about their findings. These skills were pivotal to pass the highly
important SAT exam, and to write just about any essay that a college required for
entrance.
“With all the practice I got from the countless practice essays in class, the
actual test was easy, and I felt extremely prepared,” said sophomore Javier Canto,
referring to the PSAT.

on-one help from an English teacher.
“The writing center allows students to be with any English teacher one-on-
one, so that we can be better writer in the future,” said sixth grader Gabriel Sixto.
