The  track team  was  one  of the youngest
            teams in many years, which means  that           All the Way to the Finish Line
            there was always potential. The team

            invitationals throughout the season, placing
            top ten in most of them.  Most of the athletes
            who competed in the District competition
            qualified for the Regional championship.

             Above: Jumping at the Dade County Youth Fair, freshman Don Chaney
             wins the meet. Chaney was the state champion for the event and broke
             the school record making it 6’8”.
             On the opposite page: At the FSU Relays, sophomore Sebastian Roa
             leads the pack in the 3200m run and ran his personal best 9:35.17.
             Roa’s finish in every race made him a regional runner-up in both the
             1600m and 3200m run.
             Vaulting at the Dade County Youth Fair, junior Carlos Sosa clears the
             bar. He was the district champion last year with a 9’ 9.75”.
             Over the hurdle at the Ferguson Invitational, junior Eric Labrador places
             first in the 110m hurdles. Labrador made it to Regionals in the 110m
             hurdles, 300m hurdles, and high jump.
             In the 400m race, junior Carlos Vela comes in sprinting to beat the

             at the Dade County Youth Fair. Patricios threw an impressive 11.42 and   Jose Toledo, Brandon Toricella, Carlos Vela, Daniel Venerio and Conner Yurkon. Coaches: Victor Arrieta, Carlos Jimenez, Joey Scott, Donald
